Matcha, Lime, and Chocolate Tiramisu is a unique and delicious twist on the classic Italian dessert. If you go to Japan, you’ll see “Green Sweets” such as sage- green ice cream forest green cakes and mint green latte. They’re all flavored with Matcha green tea, which has been part of our culinary tradition since 800 AD.
Put the Matcha powder in a small bowl and pour in the hot water. Mix throughouly with a whisk., making sure there are no lumps. Add 2 tbsp. of sugar, mix well and leave the syrup to cool.
In a large bowl whisk the egg yolk, 3 tbsp. of sugar to make meringue. When its quite stiff add the brandy.
Using a separate bowl, mix the egg yolk, 3 tbsp. of sugar and the mascarpone. until they're thoroughly combined. Add a tbsp. of the Matcha syrup and the lime juice. then mix well again.
In an other bowl whip the double cream until it has become stiff and add this to the mascarpone mix.
Fold in the meringue and now you're ready to assemble the tiramisu.
We want to make four layers, starting from the bottom, cake , cream, cake, cream, .Using shallow and wide bowl, pour in the Matcha syrup and dip all the cake slices very lightly before lining the bottom of the serving dishes with half of them. Take half of the mascarpone mix and spread it over the cake. Repeat this process, ending up with a layer of mascarpone mix on top. Now you can could pout the tiramisu in the fridge to rest, or serve it straight away.
Just before your serve, sprinkle more Matcha powder over the tiramisu, using a tea strainer. Also scatter with finely grated lime zest . Cut the tiramisu into portions and serve on individual plates. Decorated with blackberries
In this recipe used chocolate cake , but you could also try this dish with biscuits ( shape in lady finger) You'll need the rest tiramisu overnight.
