A perfect cake recipe or everyone’s birthdays or an afternoon tea. Vanilla sponge cake one of the most simplest cake you will ever bake, made with very few and simple ingredients like egg sugar and flour no need to use any kind of fat like oil butter. The recipe required a bit of fineness as you need to know what the eggs are supposed to look like a once, they need to whipped proper consistency other wise the cake might not rise.
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees C and 350 degrees F
Lightly grease round cake pan with butter or oil .Line base with parchment paper.
Gather your ingredients and measure them before starting. Shift or combine together flour baking powder and salt into a large bowl .
In another bowl whisk the eggs and sugar until foamy and pale yellow continue whipping for about 10 to 15 minutes (it depends on your mixing machine). When you lift the Wisk from the mixture the ribbon should not disappear. (to test that if it remains sitting on top that mean its ready) Don’t , over mix.
Now shift the flour gently fold half the flour into the mixture. Well it is well combined; fold in the other half of the flour along with the baking powder, or salt, stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
place the cake mold in the center of the middle rack ,and bake it for about 35 to 40 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in the middle come out clean. Don't open the oven for the first 20 minutes.
once the cake is bake turn of the oven ,but leave the Vanilla sponge cake inside for ate least 10 minutes, after 10 minutes remove cake pan from oven aging let it cool down completely before using it.
Serve this cake as a desert or frosting with cream butter cream or simply serve with a cup of tea. you can also decorate your cake with different type of frosting. also use this sponge cake for verity of cream cakes like pineapple cake coconut cake mango cake etc.
1. You can use any other essence if you don't like vanilla flavor . 2. Don't rest the better once you make it . 3. Fold the cake better with the help of wooden spoon or spatula instead of the hand mixture. 4. Keep all the ingredients in room temperature. 5. Make sure bake the cake in to the middle of the oven.
